Russell Deal

James Russell Deal, 57, of Lookout Mountain Drive in Linwood, passed away Friday April 21, 2023 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A funeral service will be held 6:00 pm Monday April 24, 2023 at Davison Funeral Home in Lexington with Rev. Doug McGee officiating services.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at his mother’s home on Freewill Circle.

Russell was born December 1, 1965 in Davidson County to Kenneth Edward Deal and Bonne Ann Gobble Deal. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, spending time with friends and had a smile for everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Teresa Ann Deal.

Surviving is his mother, of Lexington; one brother, Kenneth Deal Jr. of Lexington; one sister, Juanita Koonts, of Lexington; one son, Zachary William; three daughters, Paula Brooks, Brooke Williams; Bethany Deal all of Lexington; and Brittany Deal of Trinity; 5 grandchildren, Kylie, Lacie, Serenitie, Peighton and Harley Russell; one nie ce, Ashley; nephews Kenny Ray and Michael; special family member, Chase; the mother of his children and many special friends.
