Russell Palmer Freedle Jr. passed away February 26, 2025 at his home in Lexington.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, March 3, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington with Rev. Fred Carlton and Avery Payne officiating.
The family will visit with friends Sunday, March 2 from 3:00 to 5:00PM at the funeral home.
Russell was born June 3, 1941, in Davidson County, NC to Russell Freedle Sr. and Helen Miller Freedle. He graduated from North Davidson High School class of 1959. He owned and operated Reedy Creek Tractor Company for many years. He was a member and former deacon at Grace Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Freedle Bailey Goss, and his sister, Glenola Freedle Shoaf.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 64 years, Norma Porter Freedle, his daughters; Debra Freedle Woosley (Robert Keaton), Anita Freedle Milsap (Chris), and Rhonda Freedle Huffman (David), six grandchildren; Terry Lee Bailey Jr. “TJ” (Deanna), Shaundee Woosley, Hannah M. Comer (Josh), Corri M. Woodring (Ty), Kinsey M. Payne (Avery), and Alyssa Huffman, eight great-grandchildren; Tyler Bailey, Kylie Griffin, Payton Griffin, Harper Comer, Haelyn Comer, Whit Woodring, Cheyenne Woodring, and Briggs Woodring, and special lifelong friends, Alvin and Marilynn Young.
