Russell Grimmett

November 22, 1961 — March 8, 2019

Jeffrey Russell Grimmett, 57, of Bremen Drive, passed away on Friday, March 08, at his home with loved ones by his side.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Forest Hill Memorial Park conducted by Dale Grimmett.  Entombment will follow with military rites.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, March 15 at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and other times at the residence on Bremen Drive.

Russell was born in Lexington on November 22, 1961 to Richard and Mary Tysinger Grimmett.  He was employed by Cone Health as a Senior System Administrator in the Information Technology Department.  He was a US Submarine Service veteran of the US Navy.  He was of the Christian faith.  He was preceded in death by his mother, and two brothers, Brian Keith Grimmett and Andrew McLane Sullivan.

Surviving are his wife, Tammie Huff Grimmett of the home; his father, Richard Grimmett (Sandi) of Thomasville; his sister, Kimberly Dilldine (Ric) of Thomasville; his brother, Craig Grimmett (Angie) of High Point; and very special niece and great-nephews, Mandy Fox, Andrew Fox, and Logan Fox of Lexington.
