Ruth Mccrary Call

Ina Ruth Smith McCrary Call, 80, of Bremen Drive, died Sunday, April 29, 2007, at High Point Regional Hospital after a critical illness of two weeks. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Revs. David Shaffer and Robert McCrary. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Call was born April 2, 1927, in Alleghany County to Roscoe Lee Smith and Ima Hanks Smith. She retired from Ingram's Studio and volunteered and later worked for Lexington Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her husband, Foster Eugene Call of the home; two sons, the Rev. Robert Paul McCrary and his wife, Gayle, of Mount Airy and Craig Call and his wife, Patricia, of Lexington; five daughters, Debbie Pace and her husband, Tad, and Jo Watson and her husband, Willie, all of Boone, Carolyn McCrary Robertson and her husband, Roy, of Warrenton, Patricia Larson and her husband, Dan, of Pennsylvania, and Margaret Byrd and her husband, Jack, of Lexington; a brother, Richard Smith and his wife, Joan, of St. Paul; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Coggins Memorial Baptist Church, General Fund, 1306 S. Main St., Lexington, NC 27292.
