Ruth Gee Cloos

Ruth Gee Cloos, age 90 of Lexington passed away Tuesday May 31, 2016 at Alston Brook Nursing Home. A Mass to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 3, 2016 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church where she was a member with Father A. J. Gallant officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the church prior to the service and other times at the home of her daughter Maureen. Mrs. Cloos was born May 25, 1926 in Tioga, Pa. to Ralph Horace Gee and Mary Malone Gee. She was a graduate of Ashmore Business College and retired as secretary from Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. She also served as Minister of Music at her church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hugh Dee Cloos, granddaughter, Montana Leigh Baker and a brother, Robert R. Gee. Surviving are her daughters, Mary Turner (Bob) of Asheboro and Maureen Baker (Rodney) of Lexington; a son, Michael Dee Cloos of Virginia; grandchildren, Miranda, Zach (Brandy), Mickey, Jesse (Stephanie), Josiah (Nikki), Piper and Kody; great grandchildren, Olivia, Grayson and Mary Kate. Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice. Davidson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
