Ruth Bailey Fritts

Mrs. Ruth Bailey Fritts, 92, formerly of Eastside Drive, died Thursday, January 17 at Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville.    A funeral service  will be held at 3pm Monday, January 21 at First Reformed United Church of Christ by the Revs. Elizabeth Horton, Mike Hooper, and June Grubb. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home.    Mrs. Fritts was born December 18, 1926 in Davidson County to  John Thomas Bailey and Mabel Weaver Bailey. She was a 1943 graduate of Lexington High School and graduated from Jones Business College in High Point. She retired as Payroll Supervisor at Siceloff Manufacturing and for many years worked with her husband at Mercury Marine Center.  She was a lifelong member of First Reformed United Church of Christ.  She enjoyed frequent trips to Ocean Isle Beach and Calabash Seafood with family and friends.  She loved watching her daughter, Ann, play basketball for Lexington High School and enjoyed watching Carolina Basketball, completing crossword puzzles and shopping.  She always maintained a warm and welcoming home.  Her husband, Everette “Bud” Fritts, her brother, Charles Thomas Bailey, Sr, and her sister, Betty Carol Bailey Phillips, preceded her in death.    She is survived by her daughter, Ann Hoffman and husband, Walter, of Lexington.    Memorials may be made to First Reformed United Church of Christ, 104 E.
