Ruth Hill

Mrs. Ruth Louise Johnson Hill, 87, of S. NC Hwy 150 died Sunday, October 21 at Lexington Medical Center.

A Funeral Service will held at 2pm Wednesday, October 24 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Mark Blair, Mr. Larry Sides, and Mrs. Judy Yarbrough. Burial will follow at First Baptist Church of Welcome Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Wednesday prior to the service and other times at the home.

Mrs. Hill was born March 29, 1931 in Johnston County to Wright and Nellie Massengill Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Welcome. Her husband, Wilbert Mosson Hill, her daughter, Rose Sullivan, and her sister, Geraldine Stott, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Lilley, of Lexington; her sons, Will Hill and wife, Sandra, Otha Hill and wife, Sherry, both of Lexington, John Hill and wife, Kathy, and Joe Hill and wife, Sandi, both of Mars Hill; her brother, Wright Johnson, Jr. of Kenly, NC; her sister, Mary Jane Wilbur of Sanford; nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.
