Ruth Hunt

Ruth Jeanette Sprouse Hensley Hunt, 65, of Trailer Drive, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 12 after a courageous 11 year battle with cancer. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 16 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Darrell Cox. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 15 at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Ruth was born August 20, 1945 in Charlottesville, VA to Lee Jennings Hensley and Gracie Overton Gibson Sprouse. She retired from Lexington Furniture Industries and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Cooleemee. Her husband, Thomas C. Hunt, preceded her in death, as well as her brothers and sisters, Willie J. Sprouse, Roy E. Sprouse, Homer L. Sprouse, Elizabeth S. Schmitz, Nancy M. Sprouse, Jason J. Sprouse, Richard A. Sprouse, and Paul L. Sprouse and her grandson, Jason L. Galyean. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Lee Hunt and Stuart Edward Hunt, and wife, Judy, both of Lexington; her daughters, Linda Hunt Young and husband, Mark, and Tiffany Skeens both of Lexington; her brothers, Bobbie Sprouse and wife, Wendy, and Lee Sprouse, both of Virginia; her sister, Gracie V. Mann, and husband, Bruce, of Virginia; her grandchildren, Dustin Hunt, Christina Hunt, Samantha Hunt, Dominique Hunt, Tony Galyean and wife, Marsha, and Tabitha Galyean; and her great grandchildren, Logan Skeens, Landon Skeens, Samari Parker, Issac Galyean, Lindsey Galyean, Cayden McOwen, Daniella McCready, Marcus Hunt, Devan Hunt, and Jerome Hunt.
