Ruth Jenkins Hedrick

Ruth Jenkins Hedrick, 94, of Lexington passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Hinkle Hospice House.

A graveside service will be held at 12pm Thursday, November 14 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Sandy Young officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mrs. Hedrick was born in Davidson County on September 20,1930 to John Lee Jenkins,Sr. and Lillie Mae Leonard Jenkins. She retired from Dixie Furniture (Lexington Furniture Industries) as the Assistant to the President. After her retirement she spent time traveling with her husband and volunteering at Lexington Memorial Hospital. She was a graduate of Lexington Senior High School and Ashemore Business College. Mrs Hedrick was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington, North Carolina.

Her husband, Leon B Hedrick, preceded her in death.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Hazel Morris Hartley, Joan Keller, Nancy Coppley and brother, John Lee Jenkins Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her extended family and friends.
