Ruth Clodfelter Medlin, age 72, of Turner Road, Lexington passed away Thursday night at Hinkle Hospice House.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ Cemetery with Rev. William Sowers officiating. The family will greet friends at the church fellowship hall following the service and at other times at the home.
Ruth was born in Davidson County, June 4, 1941 to Raymond Roger and Florence Lopp Clodfelter. She was a member of Pilgrim Reformed Church and a former employee of Cato Corporation. She was preceded in death by her parents in 1999; son, Roger Dale Medlin in 2012; brother, Ronald Clodfelter in 2003.
Surviving are her husband, James “Fat” Medlin of the home; daughter, Mary Ann Medlin of Lexington; son Mark Medlin of Lexington; grandchildren, Ashley Medlin Humphrey (Shane) and Logan Medlin; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Gage Humphrey; a special niece, Sharon Clodfelter of Lexington and her special canine companion “Mack”.
