Ruth Coppley Swing

Ruth Doris Coppley Swing, 88 of Lexington, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Friday, September 18, 2020 at Paul’s Chapel Reformed Church with Rev. Aaron Long officiating the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. With social-distancing observed, we respectfully ask that masks be worn.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Ruth was born on June 7, 1932 in Davidson County to Oscar Ralph Coppley and Tessie Pickett Coppley.  She was a member of Paul’s Chapel Reformed Church and was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carl Hunt Swing.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Johnny L. Swing (Pam); daughter, Tamara S. Beaver (Ricky); brother, Tom Coppley (Fran); and 2 grandsons, Derrick Lynn Beaver and Quentin L. Beaver.
