Ruth Hudson Wilson, age 81, of Chapel Drive, Lexington died Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem after being in declining health since March 27 of this year. Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Paul’s Chapel United Church of Christ where she was a member with Rev. Dr. Dave Ambroso and Rev. Jimmy Norred officiating and burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson was born March 7, 1927 in Sampson County to Coyer Vinson Hudson and Ada Raynor Hudson. She was retired from Dixie Furniture. She is preceded in death by two brothers; Howard V. Hudson, Moses Hudson and two sisters; Margaret Norris, and Edna Earle Melcher.
Surviving is: her husband, Warren Lee Wilson Sr., of the home, daughters; Susan Payne and husband Jeff of Lexington, Deborah Jackson and husband Bob of Fort Worth, Texas, Sons; Warren Lee Wilson Jr. and wife Angela, and Timothy Eugene Wilson both of Lexington, Six Grandchildren; Dylan Payne, Keith Jackson, Derrick Jackson, Adam Wilson, Bryan Payne and Josh Sides, and a sister Sue Vann of Dunn, NC.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and at other times at the home on Chapel Drive. In Lieu of flowers memorials to be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103
