Sally Leonard

Virgie “Sally” Violet Wilson Leonard, 92, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 24, 2020.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Doug McGee officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am prior to the service at the Church.

Mrs. Leonard was born in Davidson County on December 9, 1927 to Willie Ed Wilson and Fannie Wilson Berrier. She was a member of New Life Freewill Baptist Church and was retired from Link-Taylor, having worked in the cabinet room. Mrs. Leonard was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ervin Leonard, Sr.; two sons, Thomas Ervin Leonard, Jr. and Donald Ray Leonard; one daughter, Rachel Ellen Pressley; and four brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronald Leonard of Lexington; two daughters, Janice Campfield and Ronda Speight both of Lexington; eight grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and a lifetime friend, Faye Wilson.
