Sam Donald Gabard

Sam Donald Gabard, 75, of Old N.C. Highway 29 North, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at his home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Silver Valley Baptist Church by the Rev. Gene Little. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Gabard was born in Davie County Aug. 3, 1931, to Charlie D. Gabard and Lila Lapisah Gabard. He was a retired employee of Klopman Mills in Denton and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clifton Gabard. Surviving are four sons, Don Gabard and his wife, Shelia, Ronnie Gabard and his wife, Rhonda, Gary Gabard and his wife, Eula, and Stacy Gabard, all of Lexington; one daughter, Beverly Lynn Gabard of Lexington; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Ann Harrison of Lexington, Dot Alridge of Thomasville and Alvie Garner of King; and one brother, Charlie R. Gabard of Mayfield. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service
