Damage Control Fireman Sandra Stephanie Grant, 23, of Ridgewood Drive, Linwood, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by Chaplain Daniel J. Brown. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Damage Control Fireman Grant was born June 18, 1983, in SuBic Bay Naval Hospital, Philippines, to Charles "Buddy" Grant and Salvacion Belmonte Grant. She was a 2003 graduate of West Davidson High School and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Dwight B. Eisenhower. Surviving are her husband, John Wolfgang Fry; one son, Alexander Wolfgang Fry of the home; one brother, Allen Grant and his wife, Gracie, of the home; and grandparents Charles T. Grant and Sandra Swab Grant, both of Lexington, and Sara Gillespy of Virginia Beach, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home of her grandfather, 316 Brooks Road.
