Sandra Leigh Kearns

Sandra "Sandy" Leigh Jarvis Kearns, 52, of Ted R. Daniels Road, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at her home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Freedom Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Clyde Akers. Burial will follow in Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery in Spencer. Mrs. Kearns was born Aug. 7, 1953, in Davidson County to Floyd Jarvis and Dorothy Gallimore Jarvis. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother, Tommy Jarvis. Surviving are her husband, Radford Kearns of the home; one son, Eric Livengood and his wife, Crystal, of Lexington; three daughters, Rachel Surratt and her husband, Brian, Rose Kearns and Tracy Medlin and her husband, Tommy, all of Lexington; two grandchildren, Ashley Medlin and Alicia Medlin, both of Lexington; her father; three brothers, Roger Jarvis of Florence, S.C., and Robert Jarvis and his wife, Pat, and Pete Jarvis, all of Lexington; and three sisters, Becky Cornatzer and her husband, Johnny, and Carolyn Hanes and her husband, Steve, all of Lexington, and Kathy Maddy and her husband, Ken, of Florence, S.C. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Freedom Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1242, Lexington, NC 27293. Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
