Sandra Kay Osborne

Sandra Kay Shumate Osborne, 70, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Kernersville Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Vernon Forest Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor James Brown.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. In light of the Covid-19 virus and its rapid spread, we ask that you follow social distancing and face mask protocols.

Sandra was born on June 29, 1950 in Pageton, West Virginia to Barney Weldon Shumate and Jettie Susan Taylor Shumate. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert Shumate, Aubrey Shumate and Kenneth Shumate; and her sister, Joselyn Mathis.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Samuel Lee Osborne; son, Michael Osborne (Teresha) of Statesville, NC; daughter, Pamela Joyce of Winston-Salem; brothers, Wayne Shumate (Irene) of Walkertown; Roger Lee Shumate (Elizabeth) of Archdale; two grandchildren, Weston Joyce and Karissa Joyce; four great-grandchildren, Chase Slater, Hazel Joyce, Hunter Joyce and Holden Fleming.

In lieu of flowers memorials are to be made to: Vernon Forest Baptist Church.

Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the Osborne Family.
