Sandra Kay Tysinger Richard, age 60 of Peeler Street, departed for her heavenly home on Saturday, November 29, 2008.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Spruce Street Missionary Baptist
Church with the Rev. Sammy Allison and the Rev. Terry Coates officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Richard was born on March 31, 1948 in Davidson County to J. W. (Bill) Tysinger and Florence Thomason Tysinger. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a member of Spruce Street Missionary Baptist Church and had worked at Lexington Furniture Industries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Terry Tysinger and sisters Viola Hartley, Frances Hepler and Betty Martin.
Surviving are her husband E.W. Richard of the home; two daughters Tonya Diane Tysinger of Lexington and Tessa Pittman and husband Ken of Glendale, Arizona; a son Richard Delaney Tysinger and wife Marvena of Lexington; grandchildren Tanaris Tysinger, Lavoris Wagone, Tory Pittman, LaQuanda Tysinger, Cary Pittman, Yimene Tysinger, Kendall Pittman, TaKaiya Gainey, Mahogany Clodfelter and Kataeven Clodfelter; seven great-grandchildren; five brothers Don Tysinger and wife Emma, Jimmy Tysinger and wife Vickie, Steve Tysinger and wife Lois, Larry Tysinger and wife Harriett and Jerry Tysinger and wife Linda; three sisters Shirley Martin, Brenda Noles and husband Jerry and Diane Allison and husband Sammy.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel and other times at the home of her sister at 2284 Arnold Road.
