Sarah Walser Conner, age 72 of Koonts Road, Lexington passed Wednesday afternoon
at Wake Forest University, Palliative Care Unit in Winston Salem after an extended illness. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Dean Thomason and Rev. Grady Blackburn officiating.
Sarah was born in Davidson county July 30, 1936 to Zeb Roney Walser and Mary Hailey Walser. She was a former employee of Crown Wood in Mocksville and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Alice Tilley and brothers, Johnny, Paul and Robert Walser.
Surviving are her husband, Jesse Lee Conner of the home; two sons, Michael Shane Conner of the home and Ricky Lee Conner of Lexington; one brother, Bill Walser and wife Nancy of Clemmons; six sisters, Kathy Tucker and husband Andy of Clemmons, Betty Thomason and husband Bill of Welcome, JoAnn Everhart and husband Gary of Lexington, Mary Blackburn and husband Rev. Grady of Winston Salem, Linda Hedrick and husband Jimmy of Clemmons and Joyce Hanes and husband David of Lexington and a brother in law Ray Tilley of Clemmons.
There will be no visitation.
