Sarah Tesh Dorsett, age 80 of Centerclair Nursing Home, formerly of Tupelo Lane, Lexington
passed away Thursday (December 30, 2010). A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday
(January 2, 2011) at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cyndi Burns and Dr. Robert Floyd officiating.
There will be no public visitation.
Sarah was born in Davidson County, January 3, 1930 to David Emory Tesh and Lydia Myrtle Cross Tesh. She was a former employee of Dixie Furniture where she worked for over forty years and owned Tupelo Dance Land for over thirty years. She delivered Meals on Wheels and was a member of New Friendship United Church of Christ. She always had a smile on her face and was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Richard Garland Everhart; second husband, Donald Jefferson Dorsett; a sister, Hilda Mae Taylor and a brother, Jerry Lewis Tesh.
Surviving are: one daughter, Vicki Everhart Lawson and husband Steve of Lexington; one son Richard Garland Everhart, Jr. of Thomasville; five grandchildren, Angie Newman, Jim Newman, Christina Everhart, Margaret Grace Everhart and Candy Everhart; three great-grandchildren, Robert Yeakley, Sarah Yeakley and Alex Yeakley; one sister, Wanda Allred of Lexington; three brothers, Donald Tesh and wife Betty of Salisbury, David Tesh and wife Nina of Lexington and Charles Tesh of Greensboro.
