Sarah Dorsett

Sarah Lynnette Harris Dorsett, 62, of Old Highway 109, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Hospice of the Piedmont, High Point. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel by the Rev. Don Leonard. Burial will follow at Silver Valley Baptist Church. Mrs. Dorsett was born April 7, 1945, in Montgomery County, to Elisha Jones Harris and Augusta Saunders Harris. She was a cashier at Skipper’s Seafood for 17 years. She was married to Arlie Artis Dorsett who died July 2004. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Jack Harris; and a sister, Maie Ward. Surviving are daughters, Marie Bruff and husband, Leonard, and Audrey Dorsett, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Olivia Bruff and Matthew Bruff, both of Lexington; brother, Bill Harris and wife, Mary, of Lexington; and a sister, Meredith Mize and husband, Don, of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
