Sarah Boyer Forst, 90, of Davidson County, passed away with family at her side, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center.

There are no formal services at this time.

Sarah was born on August 11, 1935, in Davidson County, to the late Carlis F Hyatt and Mary Cassidy Hyatt. She was a nurse in the town of Midway at City Hospital until her retirement.

She lived life with passion and honesty and instilled strong character in her children and grandchildren. Sarah enjoyed trying her luck at the slot machines, fishing with her grandchildren, and jewelry, a hobby that she passed down to her daughter who was taught everything she knew. She also played the piano by ear and was exceptionally talented.

The greatest pride she held in her heart was for that of her grandchildren. The time she spent with them in any capacity was a blessing and gave her immense happiness. Sarah loved her family fiercely and was a devoted wife to her late husband and a strong mother for her children.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Forst and her siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Heather Boyer, Gibson Boyer, and Steg Boyer; grandchildren, Luke and Noah Harvell, and Jimmy Boyer, and close nieces, Denise, Brenda, and Belinda Thomas.

Sarah’s light and spark for life will live on through those left to carry on her legacy.
