Sarah Louise Hanley

Sarah Louise Hanley, 70, of Winston-Salem, N.C. left this mortal world to begin her eternal journey on Thursday, August 25 after courageously battling cancer for several years.

She was born on October 15, 1951 in Denver, Colorado to parents Woodrow and Renee Hanley, who preceded her in death.

Sarah is survived by her son, Dylan Myers and his wife, Sharon of Lexington; grandson Noah and granddaughter Natalie. She also has siblings Ada Goren; Adele Casanova; Chris Hanley and Peter Hanley (deceased).

She also had an extended in-law family including the Anderson’s and the Leonard’s of Lexington,

Sarah worked as an independent contractor as a graphic designer. She loved to travel with her friends including hiking, camping. She was also a skilled photographer and loved animals, including her cats.

There will be a gathering of friends and family from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at Davidson Funeral Home, 301 North Main Street in Lexington. A private celebration of Sarah’s life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Cancer Service of Davidson County.
