Sarah Penland

Sarah Renee Penland, 30, a resident of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Sarah was born in Davidson County on March 31, 1992 to James W and Renee Greeson Penland. She worked as a CNA, and after her babies were born, she became a stay-at-home mom. Sarah was a daddy’s girl who had a big heart and a selfless personality. She was known to help anyone who needed it. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, James Penland

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 PM, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at North Lexington Baptist Church. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Sarah is survived by her mother, Renee Penland, of the home; her children, Matthew James, Nathan “Levi,” Dixie Lee, Daisy Louise, and Dolly Lynn; Fiancé, Caleb Christophersen; brothers, David Luke (Kayla), James “Adam,” and Jordan “Lane” Penland (Heather); two nieces; and two nephews.
