Sarah Wetherbee

Sarah Ann Kearns Wetherbee, 72, of Fairview Drive, died Monday, July 13, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House after two years of declining health. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeff Walser. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Mrs. Wetherbee was born Nov. 30, 1942, in Davidson County to Clarence Adam Kearns and Flora Belle Shoemaker Kearns. She was a homemaker who loved her family and always put them first. She was a member of Near Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Billy Ray Biesecker; brother Jimmy Kearns; and sisters Ruby Goble and Janie Hedrick. Surviving are her husband, Nathan Verlin Wetherbee of the home; daughter Natalie Belle Wetherbee and Gladys Irene Berkheiser, both of Lexington; granddaughter Carrington Berkheiser; brother Richard Kearns and wife Anna of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and sister Jo Hedrick of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
