Sarah Louise Yarbrough

Sarah Louise Yarbrough, 83, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at her home.

A funeral service will be held 2 PM Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel. A private burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Yarbrough was born July 1, 1939, in Alexander County, to Abner Roosevelt Kerley and Edna Mae Bentley Kerley. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyle Glenn Yarbrough; one brother, Charles Kerley; and two sisters, Carolyn Gilreath, and Sharon Fisher.

Surviving are three sons, Aaron Yarbrough of Lexington, Eric Yarbrough of Asheville, and Daniel Yarbrough (Tonya) of Lexington; two daughters, Lisa Bovender (Eric) of Lexington, and Susan Smith (Richard) of Kernersville; one sister, Pat Henley (Rod) of Alabama; five grandchildren, Justin (Jordan) Yarbrough, Zachary Yarbrough (Amanda), Sawyer Bowens (Julie), Kristen Pierce (Brandon), and Jordan Bovender; and eleven great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Brody, Levi, Abby, Paisley, Kaylee, Ellie, Kane, Charlotte, Rylee, and Bentley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to donor’s choice.
