Scott Wesly Templin, born on October 27, 1945, in San Bernardino, Ca., to Ralph Wesly Templin and Barbara Matheson Templin, passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 79. A resident of Clemmons, North Carolina, Scott was known for his brilliant mind, quick wit, sense of humor and incredible talent for cooking. Scott found love and companionship in his beloved wife, Ramona Templin of Clemmons, NC, who survives him. They shared 42 beautiful years together, creating a legacy of love and laughter that touched all who knew them. Also surviving are; son, Jedidiah Templin (Lori), daughter, Madison Boland (James), brother Bud Templin (Judy), 4 grandchildren; Adelaide Templin, Lydia Templin, Hanes Boland and Georgia Boland. Scott was predeceased by his parents, Ralph Wesly Templin and Barbara Gene Templin, his sister, Nadine Chalais, and his beloved Mother in-law, Evva Hanes, all who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms as he left this world. Educated and driven, Scott made a significant impact during his time as a professor at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) in Winston-Salem, NC, where he influenced the lives of many students with his passion for teaching lighting and design for theater. Before his career in education, Scott served with honor in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After he left the service, he committed the rest of his life to learning, teaching, and making the world a more beautiful place. After he offically retired from UNCSA, Scott happily worked alongside his wife and son at Mrs. Hanes Moravian Cookies. Services for Scott Wesly Templin have been lovingly arranged by Davidson Funeral Home. His memory will remain with those who had the pleasure of knowing him, as they gather to celebrate a life well lived.
