Scottie Mcclellan Ramey

Scottie McClellan Ramey, 80, of Roy Hartley Road in Lexington, passed away Friday December 22, 2023 at Kate B. Reynolds in Winston Salem.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday December 29, 2023 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 at Davidson Funeral Home.

Mr. Ramey was born June 4, 1943 in Pike County Kentucky to Henry (Harry) Harrison Ramey and Marth Bartley Ramey.  He was of the Baptist faith, served in the United States Army and enjoyed Real Estates, cooking, traveling, remodeling houses, gardening and spending time with family. Scottie was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Raymond Price, Harris Volman Ramey, James Ramey and Delayon Ramey, one sister, Myrtle Pearleen Coleman; and 2 grandchildren, Nicholas Jones and Zyler Ramey.

Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Sandra Lee Ramey, of the home; one son, Jeffrey Ramey (Melinda) of Lexington; one daughter, Cheryl Jones of Kentucky; two sisters, Eulene Harmon, of Michigan and Betty Ramey (Frank) of Michigan; 2 grandchildren, Megan Chavis (Billy) and Ashlee Ramey; and 6 great-grandchildren, Chloe, Sylas, Rebecca, Mason, Malachi and Levi.
