Sean Phillip Hancock age 21 finished his earthly journey, and passed into his heavenly chapter Tuesday June 10, 2014 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. A service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home on Swicegood Road. He was born in Forsyth County, on November 16, 1992 to Phillip Lane Hancock and Cari Schaefer Hancock Bennett. He was formerly employed with McBride Plumbing until his illness forced him to retire. He was a member of Christ Wesleyan Church. Sean is survived by his wife, Lindy Kaitlynn Robbins Hancock of the home; his precious daughter, Amalie Brynn Hancock of the home; his mother and stepfather Paul Bennett of Lexington; his father and step-mother Melinda Hancock of Wilmington, NC; sister, Samantha Marie Hancock Weaver and husband Adam of Rural Hall NC; brothers, Matthew Lane Hancock and wife Ashley of Lexington, Chance Hancock of Wilmington,. Austin Bennett of Mooresville, NC, Evan Bennett of High Point NC and Dakota Pedro of Jacksonville, NC; his mother-in-law Angela Robbins and father-in-law Scott Robbins of Lexington; brother and sister in law, Andrew and Erica Robbins; niece Angel and nephews Nathaniel and Matthew Jr.; grandparents, Dennis and Linda Hancock of Churchland and John and Merrilee Schaefer of Walnut Cove; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for his daughter Amalie at any Wells Fargo Bank location.
