Shannon Flint Watson

Shannon Flint Watson age 79 of Clemmons passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Pastor Ken Harris. Burial will follow in the Park lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the funeral home. Shannon was born November 27, 1934 in Harrison County WV to Clarence Richard Watson and Minnie Flint Watson. He was retired with Owens Illinois and served in the United States Marines Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Darla Moss Watson, sisters;June Allmaker and Barbara Jean Jones, brother in-law; Don Gatens. Surviving are his son; Richard Watson and wife Roxanne of Clemmons, daughter; Shawn Watson Lanning and husband Lance of Reedy Creek, grandchildren; Jordan and Blake Lanning, Christopher and Bradley Watson, sister; Katie Gatens Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
