Sharon Kay Mercer

Sharon Kay Gangloff Mercer, 71 of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date at Hope City Church, in Wallburg NC, with Pastor Scott Newton officiating.

Sharon was born on October 1, 1948 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Richard Irvin Gangloff and Xylpha Rae Miihlbach Gangloff.

She retired as a café manager for Sam’s Club and was a member of Hope City Church.

Mrs. Mercer was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Donald Hugh Mercer of the home; her daughters, Darla Prevette and her husband Randall of Lexington; and Donna Voncannon of Kernersville; step-son, Scott Mercer and his wife Molly of Thomasville; her grandchildren, Trevor Hatcher, Isabelle and Damian Voncannon, Alex, AJ, Jaqueline and Ashley Mercer; and one great-grandson, Myles Mann.

Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the Mercer family.
