Sharon Owen Mickel

Sharon Owen Mickel, age 60 of Welcome passed away Saturday morning at Forsyth Medical Center. A memorial graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday June 25, 2015 at Holloways Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jack Nance officiating. There will be no public visitation. Sharon was born in Davidson County August 8, 1954 to George Franklin Owen, Sr. and Doranna Everhart Owen who preceded her in death. She attended Ashmore Business College; was former office manager at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery for 18 years and former member of Holloways Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Connie L. Mickel of the home; son, Johnnie Mickel of the home; brothers, Franklin Dean Owen of Southmont and Kenny Scott Owen (Donna) of Denton and a nephew, Jared Owen.
