Shawver Barton Sparks, 76 of Lexington, Passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at his home/

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 11 at Psalm 91 Church with Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Sparks was born April 6, 1945 in Tazewell, VA to Elmer B. Sparks and Manzie Kathleen Sparks Sparks. He was a member of Psalm 91 Church. He was retired from Dixie Furniture and having worked in the coal mines of Virginia. Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by his parents: his wife, Louella Fox Sparks who died November 15, 2020, also a brother, Ronnie Sparks and a sister, Debbie Muguan.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Eugene Sparks of Asheboro, Ray Sparks Sr. of Denton, Matthew Hooper (Amanda) of Tyro, Robert Charles Caruso Jr., of Asheboro, Ray Sparks Jr. (Jessica) of Tyro; daughters, Sandy Baker (Billy) of Lexington, Savannah Hooper (Kenneth) of Wytheville, VA, Amanda Sparks of Asheboro, Velia Sue Sparks of Lexington; brothers, Clyde Sparks of Richland, VA, Gilbert Sparks of Ohio; sisters, Diane Hill of Tyro, Mary Spivey of Silver Valley, Evelyn Klass of Thomasville, Geralene Ammons of Utah and Shelia Mullins of VA; Also surviving are his 15 grandchildren, Billy Lee Baker, Mattie Louella Baker, Ellie Faith Bentley, Ellis Williams, Alex Sparks, Larry Sparks, Chysti Pack, Arlene Ray Sparks Jr., Matthew Dale Sparks, Madison Owens, Katrina Sparks, Hayanya Hooper, Arlene Ray Sparks 3 ^rd . Jonathan Ray Sparks, Cheyenne Sparks and 17 great-grandchildren.
