Sheila "Kay" Cooper

Sheila “Kay” Berrier Cooper, age 72, of Leonard Road in Lexington passed away Saturday (August 1, 2015) at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, NC. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday (August 5, 2015) at Pilgrim Lutheran Church with The Rev. Craig Saltzer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. Kay was born in Davidson County on January 8, 1943 to John Wade Berrier, Sr. and Dorothy Lee Whitaker Berrier. She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, and was retired from Newbridge Bank. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, John Wade Berrier, Jr. Surviving are her husband, Larry Monroe Cooper of the home; her son, Lennie Mark Cooper and wife Ann of Richfield, NC; her sister, Betty Rose Hedrick and husband Jerry of Lexington, NC; a sister in law, Ginger Berrier of Lexington, NC; three grandchildren, Leath Matthew Cooper, Ellen Morris, and Nikki Brown; as well as two great grandchildren, Jayce Morris and Sadie Byerly.
