Shelia Ann Wrenn Shipton, 68, of Yadkin College Road, died Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center following a sudden illness.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Rolling Heights Faith Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Wayne Sechrest officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and other times at the home of her daughter on Erwen Road in Lexington.
Mrs. Shipton was born April 27, 1947, in Davidson County, to Ottis “Art” Lee Wrenn and Beulah Mae Wallace Wrenn. She was a cookie cutter for many years prior to her retirement. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Lee Shipton.
Surviving are son, Eric Shipton and her favorite daughter-in-law, Teresa, of Archdale; daughters, Tammy Shipton Frank and Mitze Shipton Segers and husband Scott, all of Lexington; five grandchildren; Mary Beth Frank, Nicole Blue and husband Josh, Shane Willard, Brian Frank and Matthew Segers; and brother, Brice Wrenn and wife Helen of Lexington.
