Shelburne "Chub" Temple

Shelburne “Chub” Temple age 80 of Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina, died suddenly Saturday April 17, 2010. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday April 20, 2010 at Reeds Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. David L Cobb, with burial to follow in Reeds Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home. Chub was born December 5, 1929 in Guilford County NC to John Lester and Alma Williams Temple. He was retired as a Maintenance Instructor with E I DuPont Company, a 32nd degree and Past Master of Lodge 389 and was also a member of the Jamil Shrine Temple. A member of Rockville Presbyterian Church, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother John Temple. Surviving Chub are his wife of 59 years, Betty Craver Temple of the home; two sons, Tony Temple and wife Elizabeth of Cameron, TX and Scotty Temple and wife Cathy of Aiken SC; three grandchildren; Wendy, Zack, and Cody; one great-grandchild Cortney; two brothers Aubrey J. Temple of Lexington, NC and Coy Temple and wife Barbara of Midway, NC.
