HEADING NAME: Shelia S. Martin Shelia Slone Martin, 65, of Lexington died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington Medical Center after an extended illness. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home. Ms. Martin was born September 4, 1948 in Dickenson County, VA to Travis Ray Slone and Ella June Slone. She was a retired Owner from Martin & Sons Moble Homes and was of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Billy Slone, Robert Slone and a sister, Della James. Surviving are two sons, Mike Edwards (Amy) of Mebane; Morless Edwards (Wendy) of Clemmons; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren; three brothers, Danny Slone (Isbelle), Jeff Slone from Lexington, Teddy Slone (Wanda) of Salisbury; three sisters, Ella Foster (Dale), Kay Swing (Marty) of Lexington and Linda Bruff (Eddie) of Virginia.
