Shelia Koontz Smith

Shelia Smith age 69 of Allred Road died Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County with family by her side.

A celebration of life will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, March 4th at True Light Baptist Church with 1 hour visitation, 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm prior to the service and other times at her son’s home, 245 Becky Hill Road, Lexington, NC.

Shelia was born December 11, 1953, in Davidson County to James Stowe Koontz and Edna Walser Koontz. She retired as a Mental Health Consultant and was of the Methodist Faith, she loved fishing and gardening, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Shelia was preceded in death by her father and first husband, Tony Edward Beck.

Surviving are her husband; Homer Gene Smith of the home, son Brandon Stowe Beck wife Lauren, daughter Kara Suzanne Beck of Lexington, and her Mother Mozelle, brothers Donald Dwight (Audrey), Alen Stowe (Kim) and three grandchildren; Clayton, Daulton, and Anistyn.
