Sherry McCall Berrier, 61, died at her home on Carlile Drive in Lexington. She suffered from an illness that lasted three years.
Mrs. Berrier had requested no memorial service.
Mrs. Berrier was born September 26, 1947, in High Point to Mrs. Joseph W. McCall. She was a graduate of East Davidson High School and The American Institute of Banking. At the time of her death, she was a substitute teacher with the Davidson County Schools and employed at WalMart. When her health permitted she has been a volunteer at Lexington Memorial Hospital, Davidson Medical Ministries, Davidson Cancer Services, and Meals On Wheels. She was a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. Loved ones that preceded Mrs. Berrier in death are her mother; her husband, Kenneth Berrier who died in October 2005; her son, John who died October 2006; and three nephews, Tim, Steve, and Steven Elledge.
Survivors include her daughter, Lezlie Loftis and her husband, Scott, of Thomasville; a stepdaughter, Kayla of Thomasville; a son, Michael Young and his wife, Kim, of Lexington; two grandsons, Casey and Chase of Lexington; a sister, Fay Elledge of Cocoa, Fl.; several nieces and a nephew also of Florida; several cousins of High Point; one special cousin, Stan Byrd of High Point; and two special friends, Anne Allen of Advance and Doris Carlile of Lexington. Also surviving are her beloved pets Isabella and Mollie.
In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to Tyro UMC bus fund, 4484 South NC Highway 150, Lexington, NC 27295.
