Sherry Blankenship

Mrs. Sherry Ann Blankenship, 63 of Fisher Street , Lexington, NC died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Carroll Upton with interment to follow. Mrs. Blankenship was born in Jessup, Georgia on May 13, 1944 to Robert Lee Strickland and Rachel Myers Stickland. She was a homemaker and had been employed with Burlington Industries, Denton Plant. She is survived by her husband Des Blankenship of the home, a daughter Cynthia Blankenship and her husband Brett of Lexington. Step-Sons, Gary Blankenship and wife Jonnie of Lexington and David Blankenship of Newport, Tenn. A brother Donnie Strickland of Denton and step grandchildren, Taylor Blankenship, Adam Blankenship and Amber Blankenship. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.
