Sherry Burkett Boone, 48 of Pinnix Drive, Lexington died Tuesday January 12, 2010 in Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 15 at Tyro United Methodist Church, with Rev. Randy Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mrs. Boone was born January 7, 1962 in Knoxville, TN to Charles W. Burkett and Bernice Poston Burkett. She was a graduate of Wagener-Salley High School in Wagener, SC and of the Baptist Medical Center School of Radiology in Columbia, SC. She was employed as a marketing representative with Greensboro Imaging and a member of State Street Baptist Church in Cayce, SC She is survived by her husband, Kenny Boone of the home; sons, Douglas Rish of Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, and Matthew Boone of the home; a daughter, Lauren Boone of the home; her parents, Charlie and Bernice Burkett of Cayce, SC; brother, Chuck Burkett and wife, Sandra, of Wagener, SC; sister, Terri Wood and husband, Tim, of Chapin SC; and nephews, Chuck Burkett, III, Nicholas Burkett and Carson Wood. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the residence on Pinnix Drive.
