Sherry Denise Hughes

Sherry Denise Hughes, 39, of Horseshoe Neck Road, died Sunday, October 7, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Carroll Upton. Ms. Hughes was born in Davidson County on September 19, 1968, to Douglas MacArthur Hughes and Wanda Thompson Hughes, both of Lexington. She was a former employee at Stanley Furniture. Surviving in addition to her parents are her life partner, Tim Mize; sons, Christopher Davidson Burgess Rutherford and Corwin Alexander Rutherford, both of Lexington; a daughter, Sherry Denise Rutherford of Lexington; grandchildren, Austin Rutherford and Zoey Rutherford; grandmothers, Fannie Hughes of Thomasville and Audrey Mae Hughes of Lexington; and a sister, Lisa Annette Gray of Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends at the home of Bonnie Rutherford, 7006 Kingston Court, Thomasville.
