Sherry Marion Snyder

Sherry Yvonne Marion Snyder, 65, of Winston-Salem, passed away, Saturday, April 4, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Hudeck and Dr. John Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM, prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

A native of Forsyth County, she was born on Thursday, September 1, 1960, to the late Mr. Robert Lee Marion and Mrs. Francis Arrington Marion.

Sherry was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She took great pride in her family. Sherry devoted twenty-four years of her life as a stay-at-home Mom, to ensure that her children received the best care possible. After raising her children, she used that same level of love and care to provide the most exemplary care for her aging parents. She was also proud of her accomplishments in her working career in Nursing Staff Development at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and as an office administrator at the corporate office for Lentz Gatx Logistics. Sherry was a woman of profound faith. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, where she previously helped work in the Awana’s program for children.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Richard “Dale” Snyder; mother, Francis Arrington Marion; son, Travis Stack; daughters, Danielle Whittington (Stephen Nifong), Emily Torres (Derek); grandchildren, Emma Stack, Hallie Kate Whittington, Natalia Stack, and a precious grandson, Baby Torres, that is expected in July; brothers, Ricky Arrington, Jeff Marion (Darlene), and Terry Marion (Emily Perdue).

A heartfelt thank you to our friends at the Derrick Davis Cancer Center, for the loving care and kindness shown to Sherry in her last years.
