Shirley Ann Swing Phillips

Shirley Ann Swing Phillips, 78, of Lexington passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, February 16 ^th at New Friendship United Church of Christ with Rev. Alex Nance officiating the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation with family and friends will be held one hour before the service at the church.

Shirley was born on June 28, 1941 in Davidson County to Cletus Ray Swing and Pauline Everhart Swing.  She retired after 25 years from Smith Mill Works as a bookkeeper.  She was a member of the Senior Citizens of the Holly Grove Community and a member of New Friendship United Church of Christ.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Tommy Phillips, Sr.; her brothers, Franklin Swing and Kenneth Swing; and sister, Vivian Crouse.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Eric Phillips (Jennifer) of Lexington and Charles Phillips, Jr., of the home; sister, Eva Rae Clark of Lexington; 2 grandchildren, Gracie Phillips and Tucker Phillips; and her special canine companion, Andy.
