Shirley Carrol Forrest Carpenter, 67, of Sandy Creek Lane, died Monday, March 6, 2006, at her home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Revs. Bobby Leonard and Eddie Zimmerman.
Mrs. Carpenter was born Aug. 12, 1938, in Davidson County to John Forrest and Hattie Butler Forrest. A retired cook for Golden Age Nursing Home, she was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Harold Carpenter, on June 4, 2005; six brothers, Harvey Forrest, Jackie Forrest, Bill Forrest, Todd Forrest, Wayne Forrest and Mock Forrest; and a sister, Willie Mae Hunt.
Surviving are her daughter, Terri Wagner and her husband, Robert, of Salisbury; two grandchildren, Joshua Scott Wagner and Aliesha Dawn Wagner, both of Salisbury; one brother, James Forrest and his wife, Joan, of Lexington; and two sisters, Maggie Meeks of Lexington and Betty Jean Hendricks and her husband, Lester, of Mocksville.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of a sister, Maggie Meeks, 501 Beckner St.
