Shirley Branham Efird

Shirley Ann Branham Efird, 88, of Texas Drive in Lexington, passed away Monday June 15, 2026, at her home.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday June 18, 2026 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Doug McGee officiating services.

There will be no formal visitation.

Shirley was born March 28, 1938, in Lee County to Joe Ben Branham and Cleola Mattie Davis Branham. When she wasn’t working, she loved spending time cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Johnny Patrick Efird, a son, Ricky Efird, two brothers, Linday Branham and Homer Branham and three sisters, Tillie Stevens, Elizabeth Farmer, and Evelyn Jackson.

Surviving are her two daughters, Patty Brinkley (Rocky) and Joanne Wellborn (Tracy) both of Lexington; four sisters, Annie Boone (Thomas) Joette Farmer, Susan Reynolds, and Lois Branham, all of South Carolina; 2 grandchildren Jeremy Brinkley (Brandi) and Megan Hayes; and 3 great-grandchildren, Alex, MacKenzie and Haylee and a sister-in-law Mary Branham.
