Shirley Briggs Flowers

Shirley Briggs Flowers, age 73 of William Lane, Lexington passed away Sunday afternoon at Forsyth Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor Brian Workman officiating. Entombment will follow. There will be no public visitation. Shirley was born in Davidson County July 12, 1940 to Lonnie Everette and Ruth Tussey Briggs. She was a retired employee of Duracell and of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Franklin Dean Flowers and a sister, Nancy Finney. Surviving are; daughters, Kimberly Ann Flowers and Cheryl Lynn Flowers both of Lexington; sons Mike and Jeff Flowers both of Lexington; grandchildren, Misty McCullough, Holly Barnes, Dylan Flowers and Dustin Floyd; great-grandchildren, Jenna and Taylor Strickland, Addyson McCullough and Evyn Floyd; sister, Barbara Yarborough; brothers, David and Lonnie Briggs and Billy Tussey all of Lexington.
