HEADING NAME: Shirley Hansen Shirley Ashcroft Hansen, of Mallard Ridge Assisting Living formerly of Watervliet New York, died Saturday April 6, 2013. A celebration of her life will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday April 12, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home. There will also be a memorial service at a later date in Albany, NY. Mrs. Hansen was born in Troy, Rensselear County, N.Y., to James Ashcroft and Laura Barnes Ashcroft. She was a retired Librarian for Lansingburgh School system in New York. She was a member of Redemer Lutheran Church in Troy, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel Hansen; and a daughter, Debby Hansen. Surviving is a daughter, Teri Jacobson and husband Ronald of Lexington, five grandchildren Erin Kilcullen and husband Pete, Chad Smith and wife Michelle, Jared Smith and wife Carissa, Samantha Dorfner, and Peter Srmon; and four great-grandchildren.
