Shirley Baker King

Shirley Mae Baker King was born to Nathan and Helen Baker on January 30th, 1938, in Lexington. At 10:15 am on September 15th, 2024, at the beautiful age of 86, she peacefully passed away at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center to be reunited with her loving husband William Ralph King in heaven. She was also preceded in death by her baby daughter Sherry, her son Dean, her granddaughter Erica and her great-grandson Bradley.

She leaves behind her son Wane King and his wife Cindy; her daughter, Lori Hayes and her husband Kevin; grandson Eric King, grandson Josh Hayes (Audry) granddaughters, Susan King, Tiffany Hayes (Nick), Samantha Hayes (James), Jessica Roseberry (Chris); 12 great-grandchildren; She is also survived by 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Due to her wishes there will be no service.

As she takes Jesus hand

She has turned to say

I will watch over y’all

Each and everyday

Wipe your tears and

Just be strong because

It’s just time for me to go home

I have left your sight

But I’m not gone

For in your hearts

My memory will always

Live on.
