Shirley Hucks Langston

Shirley Hucks Langston, 62 of Sunrise Avenue, Lexington died Sunday evening at High Point Regional Hospital after a two week illness. There will be a graveside service at 3:00 pm Wednesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Langston was born April 22, 1945 in Horry County, SC to John Washington Hucks and Rose Annie Williamson Hucks. She was a retired Davidson County employee having worked as an administrative assistant in the Public Buildings department. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Eugene Langston who died February 19, 2005; and a brother JL Hucks. Mrs. Langston is survived by a son John Langston and wife Crystal of Lexington; a daughter Lisa Turbyfill and husband Andy of West Columbia, SC; two sisters Earline Ard of Mullins, SC and Mildred Roberts of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and five grandchildren, Hayley Langston, Dylan Langston, Wesley Langston, Lauren Turbyfill, and Anna Turbyfill. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the donors choice. The family would like to express their gratitude to Mrs. Langston’s care givers for the care given to her during her illness.
